Mask update, November 3

Mask update, November 3

Due to strong feelings and divergent views on the mask mandate, the Leadership Team took action to modify our requirements for in-house church services.

9 AM service: Masks are mandated (note exemptions below) for the full service including during singing. (You may want to leave your coffee or other beverage in your car.)

10:30 service: Masks are required (note exemptions below) upon entering and exiting the building and the wearing of a mask during the service is recommended

If you do not wear a mask continually at the 9 AM service, it will be recommended that you consider attending the 10:30 service. Also, any visiting done in the fellowship hall or outside should include social distancing. Our concern is to keep everyone as safe as possible but also as comfortable as possible as we worship together.

Exemptions to mask requiments as set by the governor:
Adults -

  • People who are unable to wear a face covering due to a medical or mental health condition or disability
  • Face coverings can also pose special challenges for people who are deaf or hard of hearing or have other communication needs or disabilities. The Executive Order not only provides exemptions for people who are unable to wear a face covering due to a medical or mental health condition or disability, but also allows people without such conditions to temporarily remove their face covering while communicating with someone who is deaf or hard of hearing or who has a condition or disability that makes communication with that individual while wearing a face covering difficult.

Children -

  • Children 5 years of age and under are not required to wear a face shield or face covering.
