Dear Friends,

Even though we have only looked at two of the markers of a healthy missional church, some of you may already have noticed a progression or connection happening.

The unspoken assumption is that we are starting with someone who has decided to follow Jesus. From that, we see the first truth, that the Bible should be at the center of our life. If you are reading the Bible and allowing it to direct how you do your daily life takes, the second marker naturally occurs, and you begin living a life that is transformed by Jesus.

Those two lead us into the third marker, intentional evangelism. Please don't stop reading! I know this can be one of the most difficult things for a believer to put into practice. It's so easy to get an image of someone on the fringe of a crowd with a big sign, yelling at people. Or an overly excited person going door to door, or person to person at a large event.

Either of those images may scare you, and I can confidently say that fear is exactly what Satan wants you to be feeling. If he can stop you before you get started, the kingdom of God will suffer. Don't live in fear. Listen to my message today, and find a Biblical mandate and description of what it means to be intentional and what evangelism really should look like.

In God's Grip,
Pastor Mark
